FEEDING YOUR BABY NEXT GENERATION APTAMIL – EASY TIPS
Our team of more than 400 scientists has succeeded in developing next generation Aptamil based on over 40 years of ground-breaking research. The patented formula Aptamil Pronutra-ADVANCE, Aptamil Profutura and Aptamil HA with SYNEO (our unique combination of GOS/FOS and Bifidus Breve) combine the proven benefits of Aptamil with unique innovations. You can of course switch from previous Aptamil formulas to the advanced formulas with no hesitation.
Next generation Aptamil is starch-free for all stages, including for follow-on milk, and contains lactose as the only carbohydrate, like in breast milk. The individual stages of Aptamil continue to be optimally adapted to the nutritional needs for your child's age.
The infant formula can be given upon the need of the child. After the 4th month, the energy needs increase, but your child receives the extra energy and fullness from the complementary foods they are eating.

3 Helpful tips for switching milks
TIP # 1 – Switch bottle by bottle
When you start to feed next generation Aptamil to your baby, we recommend switching bottle by bottle. Replace one bottle per meal each day with the advanced formula: For example, on the first day you replace only one bottle with the advanced formula, the next day two and so on. This ensures your baby can get used to next generation Aptamil.
TIP # 2 – Shake vigorously for 10 seconds with bottle held vertically
It is very easy to prepare the Advanced Aptamil formulas:
Our experts recommend shaking the bottle vigorously for about 10 seconds with the bottle held vertically – this ensures that the powder will be completely dissolved.

Always observe the instructions for use when preparing. Boil fresh water as usual and let it to cool to about 40 degrees - for Aptamil HA with SYNEO the temperature should be a maximum of 40 degrees. Then add 2/3 of the required amount of water and the required amount of powder to the bottle. Please refer to the dosage recommendation on the back of the Aptamil packaging to determine how much water and powder you need. Always use the enclosed measuring spoon for the powder.
Now close the bottle and shake it. Do you feed your baby Aptamil Pronutra-ADVANCE or Aptamil Profutura? Then we recommend that you shake the bottle for about 10 seconds with the bottle held vertically so the powder dissolves completely. Add the remaining amount of water and shake again.
Aptamil HA with SYNEO can be prepared as usual: Add the required amount of powder to the bottle, close it and shake vigorously; add the remaining amount of drinking water and shake the bottle contents vigorously again.
Now open the bottle and put the nipple on. Always check the serving temperature first before feeding your baby. If you find it comfortable on the inside of your wrist or the back of your hand, the bottle is perfect for your baby.
Always prepare the formula for your baby fresh and feed it immediately. Please do not reuse leftover formula. Please always close open packages well and do not put in the fridge; otherwise, bacteria could form inside.
- About nutrition: Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. Please consult your midwife or paediatrician if you are thinking about feeding an infant formula.
- About dental health: All baby foods contain carbohydrates. Consuming carbohydrate-containing foods incorrectly through frequent or permanent sucking from the bottle can cause severe tooth decay and impair the child’s health. Please keep the bottle yourself and do not let your child constantly suck on it.
